Thermostat controlled with a smartphone by Philippe Starck for Netatmo

This smartphone-controlled thermostat by French designer Philippe Starck can regulate itself by tracking residents' activities.

Philippe Starck designed the minimal device for Netatmo, which creates products and apps for monitoring the weather and environmental conditions.

The thermostat allows heating in the home to be monitored and regulated using an app on a smartphone or tablet.

It syncs with the app to provide the user with real-time temperature readings, and memorises routines and usage patterns to regulate the temperature automatically unless instructed to do otherwise.

The simple interface includes an E-ink screen in the centre of the case, which shows the temperature and other information either vertically or horizontally depending on which way up it's facing.

Interchangeable films can be applied onto the back of the square case to colour its transparent edges.

Effortless Comfort

To ensure the ultimate comfort for its users the Thermostat Netatmo sets the temperature according to your activities. Forget waking up to chilly mornings, returning from vacation to a cold house or weekends at the country home below 15°Celsius.

Thanks to the Netatmo Application, free on the App Store and Google Play, the user can easily control their heat remotely, from their bed or from the other end of the world! Using a Wi-Fi connection the Thermostat syncs with the Application, constantly transmitting the most up to date information. Moreover, the interface of the Thermostat is simple, intuitive and efficient.

By evaluating the habits of the user, the Netatmo Thermostat adapts to his or her lifestyle. It monitors sleep habits and periods of absence from the home and then adjusts to the optimal temperature.

For those without smartphones the Thermostat can also be used manually.

Something for the Planet

The Thermostat is for anyone interested in reducing their energy bill and doing something good for the environment.
