Submissions are being accepted until 28 February in categories including furniture, architecture, packaging, transportation and software – see the full list of categories.

Chosen by an international jury, the winners will be contacted on 7 March and the results will be announced on Dezeen on 15 April.

The selected projects will be exhibited in Italy, Holland and Ireland, and a gala night to celebrate the winners will be hosted at Lake Como.

Each laureate will receive the A' Design Prize, which includes a 3D-printed metal trophy, a feature in an annual yearbook of winning projects, and coverage in a variety of publications.

Winners will also be given a design excellence certificate and licence to use the A' Design Award Winner logo on their media material.

Participants and winners from last year's awards came from 79 countries, with the results contributing to the World Design Rankings that are calculated by how many A' Design Awards each nation has accumulated since 2010.
