Jeremy Scott debuts winged Cybex prams at 10 Corso Como

American fashion designer Jeremy Scott has added his signature wing motifs to a collection of baby pushchairs and buggies by German brand Cybex, unveiled at luxury Milan boutique 10 Corso Como this week.

The capsule collection is the second collaboration between Cybex, which manufactures infant transportation products, and Scott, who is currently creative director for Milan fashion house Moschino.

The designer has customised items from the company's Priam range, which includes a four-wheel stroller that can accommodate bassinets of different sizes and shapes. A car seat, a front carrier, a bag and a footmuff have also received a makeover.

The black designs feature gold accents on wheel hubs, frames, and details such as zips and stitched lettering.

Gold is also used for pairs of wings that adorn a carrycot, which clips onto the stroller frame, and the front carrier.

Wings are recurring motif in designs by Scott, who has previously added them to everything from Adidas trainers to a Smart car.

Scott also designed shoes with shackle-like ankle cuffs for Adidas, which were withdrawn following complaints that they represent a symbol of slavery.

His 2013 collection for Cybex included prams decorated with cartoon foods against a bright blue background.

"I am incredibly happy and proud of our second collaboration with Jeremy Scott, one of the most interesting and talked about fashion designers at the moment," said Cybex founder Martin Pos.

"He is not afraid to go against the traditional fashion establishment rules – and in addition to making sure his creations are infused with fun and colour, he always makes sure they are accompanied by a positive message."

Scott added: "Martin's enthusiasm and passion for creating the best, most stylish and coolest products are, for sure, the reasons I chose to work with Cybex again."

The Cybex x Jeremy Scott collection will be available until the end of this year from 10 Corso Como, the store set up at the Milan address by owner Carla Sozzani in 1990.

Sozzani has since collaborated with Japanese label Comme des Garçons to open a branch in Tokyo, and also has 10 Corso Como outposts in Shanghai and Seoul.

Other designs for infants include a stroller wrapped in a neoprene shroud and a baby's bottle by Karim Rashid that heats milk to body temperature without using electricity.
