Stuart Haygarth has sent us a new photo of Optical, a chandelier made of lenses from unwanted prescription spectacles.

The 1.5m diameter chandelier, which contains 3,000 lenses, was premiered at the Trash Luxe exhibition at Liberty in London last month.

Haygarth gets the lenses from from a charity that ships used spectacles to the developing world.

British furniture brand Established &#38; Sons presented an exhibition called Elevating Design in London last month, during the London Design Festival.

At the show, production pieces from the brand&#8217;s range were remade as one-offs in solid Carrara marble and exhibited on top of 6m high plinths.

Designer John Harrington showed his Cut Glasses chandelier (below) and illuminated cornice (above) at designersblock in London last weekend, during the London Design Festival.

The chandelier is made from crystal glasses and hangs from an illuminated, cast glass ceiling rose.

The cornice is also made from internally lit cast glass.
