Stockholm Design Week 09: Gothenburg designers Staffan Holm and Dan Sunaga have collaborated to produce Newton, a table made from pressure-moulded wood.

The table has a frame made from two identical, wooden components that support a glass top.

It was designed for the Swedish company Karl Andersson &#38; Söner and was awarded the Nordic Design Prize 2009 at [...]]]></description>

Stockholm 09: Swedish design studio Form us with Love launched Work Lamp for Design House Stockholm during Stockholm Design Week earlier this month.

Based on work lamps used in garages and construction sites, the lamp is available with a gold-plated or a chrome-plated frame.

Stockholm Design Week 09: designer Daniel Hedner of Imaginary Office presented three prototypes at the Greenhouse young designers&#8217; showcase at  Stockholm Furniture Fair earlier this month, including this sofa called Pleats Pleats. 

Pleats Pleats (above) that consists of 19 strips of upholstered polyurethane foam, woven around a powder-coated steel frame.

Stockholm Design Week 09: Swedish designers Gabriella Gustafson &#38; Mattias Ståhlbom of TAF Arkitektkontor created an installation of wooden office furniture at Nordic light Hotel in Stockholm last week. 

The concept was developed for furniture producer RH Chairs, and is used in their showrooms and trade fair stands (also designed by TAF).

Stockholm Design Week 09: Swedish company Massproductions exhibited their debut collection of tables and chairs, called Tio, at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in Sweden last week.

The furniture is made from steel wire, produced using a computer-controlled bending machine.

Stockholm Design Week 09: German lighting designer Ingo Maurer presented new lighting called Alizz.Cooper at the Light Now conference in Stockholm on Monday. 

The snake-like lighting is made from a common, German garden hose.

The conference was organised by Future Design Days and moderated by Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs.

Stockholm Design Week 09: Swedish designer Monica Förster has created an installation called Ominous, on show at Nordic Light Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden, this week.

The installation consists of black, bird-shaped pieces, barbed wire and structures representing telegraph poles.

The lamp has a star-shaped stem that enables the head to be rotated 360-degrees through six positions.
