French architects Air have completed a raw yellow concrete extension to an apprenticeship college in Saint Maur des Fossés near Paris in France.

Called Apprentice Formation Center, the project comprises a new three-storey building containing a hall, plumbers workshop, classrooms, and meeting rooms, as well as the refurbishment of an existing cafeteria and classrooms.

London architect Foster + Partners have completed an academy clad in wood in Berkshire, UK. 

Called The Langley Academy, the project incorporates a three-storey building with a full-height atrium where 1,100 students can assemble.

Three yellow, cylindrical, two-storey volumes within this space house science laboratories.

Two arms leading outwards from the atrium are lined with 38 classrooms.

Tokyo architects Atelier Tekuto have completed a prefabricated aluminium house in Kanazawa, Japan. 

Prefabricated aluminium components with pipes passed through them form both structural elements and a thermal radiation system for heating and cooling.

LED lighting is reflected by the aluminium and reduces energy costs.

Designer Robert Gaukroger has completed three wooden classrooms on stilts in a forest clearing in the Lake District, UK.

Designed for the Elleray Preparatory School in Windermere, the three pod-like structures are clad in wooden shingles made of English chestnut.
