<p><strong>Dezeen's top ten:</strong> this month's top ten features the most popular stories about student work that have been on Dezeen. <span id="more-18562"></span>In first place is <a title="Permanent Link: SkipWaste by Oliver Bishop-Young" rel="bookmark" href="http://www.dezeen.com/2008/07/21/skipwaste-by-oliver-bishop-young/">SkipWaste</a> by Goldsmiths University graduate Oliver Bishop-Young (above), a project presented at New Designers in London in July and which involved converting empty skips into public spaces such as skate parks, swimming pools and gardens.</p>

<p>2: Another project shown at New Designers this year: <a href="http://www.dezeen.com/2008/09/05/book-vases-by-laura-cahill/">Book Vases by Laura Cahill</a> are made from discarded books attached to test tubes.</p>

<p>3: We spotted <a title="Permanent Link: Yarn from old newspapers by Greetje van Tiem" rel="bookmark" href="http://www.dezeen.com/2007/10/21/yarn-from-old-newspapers-by-greetje-van-tiem/">Yarn from old newspapers by Greetje van Tiem</a> at the Design Academy Eindhoven graduation show in 2007. A graduate from the academy’s Man and Leisure department, van Tiem turns old newspapers into yarn that can be woven into carpets, curtains and upholstery.</p>

<p>4. At the Central Saint Martins College of Art &amp; Design degree show earlier this year graduate Kacper Hamilton presented <a title="Permanent Link: Seven Deadly Glasses by Kacper Hamilton" rel="bookmark" href="http://www.dezeen.com/2008/06/05/seven-deadly-glasses-by-kacper-hamilton/">Seven Deadly Glasses</a>, a set of seven wine glasses inspired by the seven deadly sins: lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath (above), envy and pride.</p>

<p>5. <a href="http://www.dezeen.com/2008/08/16/asemic-scapes-by-sarah-schneider/">Asemic Scapes - Rehabilitation Center Rainberg</a> is a concept for a medical rehabilitation centre in the Austrian Alps designed by architecture gradute Sarah Schneider as her Diploma project at Studio Lynn, an architecture course run by American architect Greg Lynn at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.</p>

<p>6. <a title="Permanent Link: Limited Edition Design Dolls by Olivia Lee" rel="bookmark" href="http://www.dezeen.com/2008/06/25/limited-edition-design-dolls-by-olivia-lee/">Limited Edition Design Dolls by Olivia Lee</a> is a series of three figurines of famous designers, featuring Zaha Hadid (above), Jaime Hayon and Karim Rashid. Lee graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London this summer.</p>

<p>7. <a title="Permanent Link: Tableware by Kathryn Hinton" rel="bookmark" href="http://www.dezeen.com/2008/06/27/finishedtableware-by-kathryn-hinton/">Tableware by Kathryn Hinton</a>, displayed at the Royal College of Art Show One in London earlier this year.</p>

<p>8. <a href="http://www.dezeen.com/2007/07/23/dezeen-loves-type-the-sky/">Type the Sky by Lisa Rienermann</a> is an alphabet formed of shapes buildings make against the sky when photographed from below. The alphabet was created by Rienermann while studying at the University of Duisburg-Essen.</p>

<p>9. Swedish automotive design graduate Jon Rådbrink presented a concept for a  catamaran-shaped car called <a title="Permanent Link: Lexus Nuaero by Jon Rådbrink" rel="bookmark" href="http://www.dezeen.com/2008/08/17/lexus-nuaero-concept-by-jon-radbrink/">Lexus Nuaero</a> at the Royal College of Art graduation Show Two in London in July this year.</p>

More from the Royal College of Art: <a title="Permanent Link: Asimov’s First Law scales by Alice Wang" rel="bookmark" href="http://www.dezeen.com/2008/03/02/asimovs-first-law-scales-by-alice-wang/">Asimov’s First Law scales by Alice Wang</a> - a range of weighing scales that allow you to deceive yourself about your weight - were on show at the Work in Progress show in February.</p>
