Vienna-based musician and producer Noemi Bolojan has remixed American rock band Cage the Elephant’s track Take It Or Leave It, replacing the jagged guitar of the original song with gentle, swooshing synths and shuffling electronic percussion.
This experimental pop song by London artist Yodashe is very musically ambitious, combing glitchy beats with brash, dissonant vocal harmonies in a free-flowing arrangement. But the key is the variety of catchy melodic hooks, which pop up in unexpected places and keep the track engaging throughout.

This electronica-tinged track by London producer and singer The Slow Revolt has a wonderfully effortless charm that belies the tight structure and attention to detail evident throughout. Understated and unassuming, the song achieves the feted balancing act of feeling both fresh and familiar at the same time.
Desired Effect is a wistful pop song by Glasgow band Atom Tree. With plucked strings and what sounds like a glockenspiel driving the track, it has a much more analogue feel than 45, the previous Atom Tree track we featured on Dezeen Music Project.
British house producer and DJ Jo Noon has sent us another gorgeous chilled-out dance track called Wednesday. Like October, the previous track we featured by Noon, Wednesday is lush and dreamy in all the right places, but is underpinned throughout by crisp, purposeful percussion.
