The following is from the designer:

Roll is an example of indestructible mechanical practicality. A series of hard working tables specifically constructed to ease the workers’ burden. The rolling wheel on the cast iron base enables lone waiting staff to reconfigure tables with minimal fuss and assistance.

 

The robust bumper edge trim, extruded in rubber, allows tables to be grouped together and withstand the hard knocks of life.

]]> Here's a full-length movie of the My Way talks hosted by Design Academy Eindhoven and filmed in Milan earlier this year. The talks were moderated by Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs and paired recent graduates from the academy with industry experts to discuss the evolving roles of designers. 

The movie begins with an introduction by MoMA curator Paola Antonelli and designer Ilse Crawford sets out topics for discussion.

Speakers are designers Jurgen Bey, Piet Hein Eek, Studio Unfold, Bas Princen, Christien Meindertsma, Joost Grootens, Eveline Visser, Brigitte Coremans and Massoud Hassani.
