2009 review: January

To finish off the year we're going to showcase the five most popular Dezeen stories from each month in 2009. Number one in January was Jean Nouvel's pool complex in Le Havre, Les Bains des Docks.

Second most viewed was a set of ten stamps issued by Britain's Royal Mail  celebrating 20th-century British Design classics.

A compact living environment called OrganiCube by Austrian designer Christian Precht was third most popular.

In fourth place was a house with a mobile section that slides along to cover and uncover different parts of the building, designed by London architects dRMM.

Fifth most popular was Boxhome, a small residential project in Oslo by Norwegian architects Rintala Eggertsson.
