Archiboo Web Awards 2018 will recognise the best architecture websites

Dezeen promotion: networking platform Archiboo is now accepting entries for its annual awards, which recognise architects and others making the most of the internet, and is offering Dezeen readers a special discount.

Dezeen is media partner for this year's Archiboo Web Awards, which celebrate architecture firms and collaborators who have come up with clever ways to communicate architecture to a digital audience.

The awards are open to any architecture-focused organisation that is making use of digital media, on websites, social media, videos or other online channels.

Archiboo is offering Dezeen readers an early-bird discount of £15 off, so entries cost just £75.

The awards are judged in 10 categories: Best Use of Innovation, Best Use of Digital Imagery, Best Use of Video, Best Use of Technology, Best Use of Social Media, Best Written Content, Best Visual Design, Best Home Page, Best Mobile Experience and Best Overall Experience.

Winners will be chosen by a panel of 30 judges, including experts and influencers from across media, property, engineering, design and technology.

Conran & Partners won the Best Visual Design award in 2016

This year's panel include former culture minister Ed Vaizey, Open City director Rory Olcayto, dRMM co-founder Sadie Morgan and Marcus Fairs, founder and editor-in-chief of Dezeen.

"Archiboo's awards are a great idea, as they encourage architects to think about their website as the public face of their practice and as a vital communication tool, and they reward the best examples," said Fairs.

Past winners include Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, Mae Architects, IF_DO, Conran and Partners, Witherford Watson Mann and BDP.

David Miller, whose firm David Miller Architects won the Best Overall Experience award in 2017, said winning "had an immediate impact on the practice".

"The analytics from before and after the awards prove this way beyond our expectations," David Miller.
