BLCKCHRM 22X Yalta 3.0 backpack by Chrome Industries

Competition: win a BLCKCHRM Yalta 3.0 backpack by Chrome Industries

In our latest competition, we've teamed up with urban apparel brand Chrome Industries to give our readers the chance to win a BLCKCHRM Yalta 3.0 backpack, which can store a 15-inch laptop.

This competition has now closed.

Entries are limited to our readers based in the Americas, Europe or the UK, three of whom will receive a black 22X Yalta backpack restyled with improved breathability, durability and weather resistance.

Based in Portland, the brand – which is known for using sturdy materials – has upgraded products from its Heritage collection for Spring 2020 to be even more hardwearing.

BLCKCHRM is the brand's latest innovation technology, which has been influenced by the technical materials used for sailcloths. The brand's bestselling products, including its roll-top Yalta daypack, have been updated accordingly.

Yalta's nylon shell is woven at a 22 degree angle. This is a technique employed in manufacturing sailcloths, in order to resist tearing.

Chrome Industries further finishes the body with a diamond-embossed finish. As well as improving its resistance to water, the coating also increases the durability and toughness of the bag.

"The BLCKCHRM 22X Yalta 3.0 is forged from the toughest and lightest material we've ever made," said the brand.

Yalta's wide, rolling top has been created for easy loading. Inside, the interior liner can be removed to become a separate bag, that is also weatherproof like its larger counterpart.

Designed for comfort, the ergonomic shoulder strap helps users carry the backpack throughout the day.

The back panel has been upgraded for fit, durability and ventilation, moulding to the shape of the wearer whilst ensuring breathability and heat regulation despite its cosy fit.

Quick access pockets are a key feature of Chrome Industries' backpacks. Users can store their phone inside a weatherproof zip at the front of the bag.

Three additional pockets, two at the back and one diagonal stash compartment, are designed to store essentials for easy, quick access. There is also a padded laptop sleeve, large enough to fit a 15-inch laptop.

"These resourceful urban warriors are sculpted to fit your body and adapt to securely transport a wide range of cargo during your everyday excursions," said Chrome Industries.

The brand created its first backpacks in a garage in 1995, and has since been committed to using the most durable materials it can find.

From reusing old car seat-belts for buckle closures to finding new uses for junkyard materials, the urban apparel label has created shoes, clothing and accessories which "put function first".

Browse other BLCKCHRM products or buy the backpack online on the brand's website, or with stockists including Brick Lane Bikes, Fat Buddha Store and Blackleaf.

Competition closes 12 February 2020. Three winners will be selected at random and notified by email, and his or her names will be published at the top of this page. Entrants are limited to those based in the UK, Americas and Europe only.
