Live interview with Ini Archibong and Chrissa Amuah as part of Virtual Design Festival

Designers Ini Archibong and Chrissa Amuah spoke to Dezeen in a live Screentime conversation sponsored by Philips TV & Sound as part of Virtual Design Festival.

Based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, Archibong discussed his work with Dezeen's founder and editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs.

They were joined by Chrissa Amuah, founder of textile and print brand AMWA Designs and Africa by Design, a platform for African designers.

Archibong studied at ArtCenter in Pasadena and ECAL in Lausanne before founding his studio Design by Ini in 2010.

The studio produces designs for items such as furniture, objects and lighting as well as watch design.

Among Archibong's designs is a table made from a marble top and coloured glass legs, based on mythological characters and biblical stories.

In 2019, he released a design for a diamond-encrusted watch for French luxury brand Hermès.

Archibong was also a judge for the 2019 edition of Dezeen Awards.

This conversation is sponsored by Philips TV & Sound and is part of our Screentime series for Virtual Design Festival.

Previous sessions have included Marjan van Aubel from the Netherlands, Shahar Livne from Israel and Adam Nathaniel Furman from the UK.
