Stellar Works' VDF products fair showcase features chairs by Nendo and Neri&Hu

Stellar Works has launched three of its latest collections for 2020 at VDF products fair, including chairs designed by Nendo and Neri&Hu.

The Shanghai furniture brand has also unveiled a modular storage system called Seiton that it has developed with its longstanding collaborator OEO Studio.

Now live at the VDF products fair, the showcase is the latest part of the VDF x Stellar Works collaboration, following a live panel discussion with the brand's CEO Yuichiro Hori, Neri&Hu and Space Copenhagen that was hosted by Dezeen's Marcus Fairs earlier this month.

One of Stellar Works' featured chairs is Kite, which has been designed by Nendo with a deliberately compact form specifically for use in narrow communal spaces in hotels and offices.

It has a distinctive layered structure composed of an individual seat and backrest that are available in different sizes and supported by a slender metallic frame.

The other chair Stellar Works is introducing is Stack by Neri&Hu, which is designed for versatility and has a stackable form to make sure it can be easily stored away.

It is distinguished by its continuous tubular steel frame that wraps around the body of the chair, described by Stellar Works "as a distinctive design feature".

The final collection on show is the Seiton storage system, which is designed by OEO Studio for use as a partition, cabinet or shelving unit.

It is made as an easy-to-assemble flat-pack kit of walnut and oak wood shelves, a powder-coated steel frame and polished brass feet that can be built in various configurations.

Also on show at VDF products fair are collections by Austrian bike brand Vello, British brand Modus and Danish brand Fritz Hansen.

American brand Herman Miller also recently presented five seating collections for the workplace, including the updated model of its iconic Aeron chair.
