Microtopping finish by Ideal Work

Dezeen Showroom: surfaces can be renewed in any colour using Italian brand Ideal Work's Microtopping finish, which is just three millimetres thick.

Microtopping is a micro-cement that offers a way to remodel existing surfaces without having to remove them.

The finish is suitable for both horizontal and vertical surfaces — including walls, floors, stairs and bathrooms — and is so thin that there is no change in slab level.

It creates a continuous surface with no visible joins or interruptions and can be hand-finished with either a polished, silky, clouded or acid-stained effect.

The material can also be applied to furnishings such as this desk partition

The colour and intensity of the finish can be varied based on the quantity of dye used, creating a broad palette of options to match different interiors.

Microtopping can be applied to any material, including concrete, ceramic and wood, and can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is easy to clean and resistant to changes in climate.
