Lost Villa in Simianshan, Chongqing

Kong_Architects has designed the Lost Villa in Simianshan, Chongqing, China.

The Lost Villa is located in Simianshan Town, Jiangjin District, Chongqing.

In a base surrounded by mountains, Kong_Architects planned and designed three groups of buildings: Guanshan, Yishan and Yinshan, according to the mountain morphology and landforms and the location of the building base.

"[We] hope that through the design guidance of architecture and space, it can create a better environment for people and nature," said Kong_Architects. "Establishing new interactive relationships allows people to gain new perspectives and new experiences in communication and dialogue with nature while wandering around the building and space."

The owner hoped to arrange 24 guest rooms in the project and that most of the guest rooms would have independent private hot spring pools to meet the local winter vacation needs.

In addition, the project needed to be equipped with restaurants, coffee bars, tea rooms, swimming pools, kitchens, staff dormitories and parking spaces to provide sufficient support facilities.

This project has been shortlisted in the hospitality project category of Dezeen Awards China 2023.
