The Old Royal Naval College in conjunction with the London Design Festival are hosing Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby’s newest creation, The Fluke.

The Fluke celebrates the language of marine anatomy and nautical design engineering, a long-standing interest of the designers. The sculpture’s title derives from the lobe of a whale’s tail and the palm of an anchor, both forms referred to in the sculpture.

The Fluke is situated in the grounds of Sir Christopher Wren’s Old Royal Naval College, on the bank of the river Thames. The site was chosen because of Greenwich’s importance in maritime history.

The Fluke will be on show throughout the London Design Festival.
