New Designers 2013 part two

Dezeen promotion: the second part of London graduate exhibition New Designers will showcase industrial, graphic and spatial design projects from today until 6 July.

Taking place at London's Business Design Centre, part two of the annual graduate show focuses on furniture, product design and visual communications.

For the first time it also includes film, animation and costume design in a new feature titled Prime Cuts.

In addition, designers and makers who have established their business in the past year present their work in the One Year On section.

The exhibition is open from 10am each day and closes at 6pm today, Friday 5 and Saturday 6 June, with a late night opening until 8pm tomorrow.

Now celebrating its 28th edition, New Designers 2013 brings over 3,000 of the UK’s most talented and innovative design graduates, all under one roof.

Part 2, running from 3 to 6 July, focuses on: furniture; product design; visual communications, including graphic design and illustration; spatial design; and for the first time, Prime Cuts, a new feature to the event that brings together specialist motion arts disciplines, including film, animation and costume design.

An extensive programme of talks and events has something for everyone, with talks from the Design Council, Seymour Powell and the V&A, as well as a tour by The Design Museum.

The Thursday late session on 4 July will see doors open until 8pm, and the Design Council announce the graduates chosen for its inaugural ‘Future Pioneers discovered at New Designers’ initiative.
