Hem launches e-commerce site especially for designers and architects

Dezeen promotion: online furniture brand Hem has launched a new website that makes it easier and quicker for interior designers, architects and other industry professionals to order furniture.

Stockholm-based Hem – a top-ranking brand on the Dezeen Hot List – launched Hem Pro to streamline the purchasing process, helping to save customers time and money.

The online platform aims to make purchasing furniture from Hem quicker and easier

Functioning as an online version of Hem's catalogue, it offers customers inventory status, as well as quotes and orders with trade terms and pricing.

Hem Pro account holders will also have access to the company's Pro team for advice on design selection and order details.

The service is aimed at architects, designers and trade customers, as well as large brands undertaking interior design projects.

Customers can easily browse Hem's catalogue, which includes furniture by British designer Max Lamb

"The process of getting a quote and ordering products in this industry is still extremely manual and can take days," explained Hem founder and CEO Petrus Palmér. "With Hem Pro we aim to reduce the hassle and allow trade customers to order our products within minutes."

"The design and quality of Hem products makes us popular with interior professionals," he continued.

"And the love goes both ways, now we can cater to the professional community with trade pricing and real-time stock levels – leveraging our amazing products at great prices with speedy deliveries."

The service offers customers inventory status, as well as quotes and orders with trade terms and pricing.

Hem, which is the Swedish word for home, is a design studio and online retailer based in Stockholm. It focuses on creating affordable designs that are easy to ship.
