London Festival of Architecture
1 to 30 June, UK

London's month-long celebration of architecture begins today with a city-wide celebration of architectural practice.

Themed "Act," this year's edition highlights a global desire to take action after a period of enforced stillness caused by the pandemic, and questions how architecture can act upon issues such as climate change and social injustice.

London Festival of Architecture includes a varied programme of events at locations including Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Camden, South Westminster, City of London and Royal Docks.

Installations will be on display across the city, such The Mobile Aboretum by local practice Wayward.

Milan design week
6 to 12 June, Italy

Widely considered the world's most prominent design event, Milan design week returns to the city for its 60th-anniversary edition after it was cancelled in 2020 and scaled back in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The event is anchored by the Salone del Mobile furniture fair, the world's largest of its kind, which takes place at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre.

Bringing together more than 2,000 exhibitors, Milan design week will include a diverse range of events and experiences. We have rounded up our top 12 unmissable exhibitions and installations in this Dezeen guide.

Our digital guide, created to help you navigate the design week, is also available.

NeoCon
13 to 15 June, USA

NeoCon is a commercial interior design fair that has been taking place in Chicago since 1969.

This year, almost 1 million square feet of exhibition space presents over 400 products from both established and emerging designers.

The event also includes a virtual CEU-accredited programme that explores themes such as sustainability, design skills and industry direction.

3 Days of Design
15 to 17 June, Denmark

True to its name, 3 Days of Design takes place over three days in Copenhagen, Denmark's capital, when the city's furniture and design showrooms open their doors to visitors.

Spanning various exhibitions and talks, the design fair includes work from both Danish and international brands.

Traditionally, 3 Days of Design takes place in early summer, although the pandemic pushed its dates to September over the last two years. For the 2022 edition, the event takes place in mid-June to avoid clashing with other important design events such as Milan design week.
