The V&A presents Design and Disability, an exhibition showcasing the contributions of disabled, deaf and neurodivergent people to contemporary design and culture from the 1940s to today.
Featuring 170 objects spanning design, art, architecture, fashion and photography, the exhibition explores disability as an identity and culture through design.
The exhibition is split across three sections – Visibility, Tools and Living – and aims to demonstrate how design can be made more equitable and accessible.
Accessibility is integrated throughout the exhibition, with tactile elements, Deaf Space principles and self-regulation and resting areas.
Design and Disability takes place from 7 June 2025 to 15 February 2026 at V&A South Kensington, Cromwell Road, London SW7 2RL, UK.
