Illustration Practices MA (Online) at Camberwell College of Arts

The Illustration Practices MA (Online) course at Camberwell College of Arts encourages a transdisciplinary approach to illustration to develop a refined, industry-ready portfolio.

MA Illustration Practices is an experimental, practice-led course that equips students with the creative fluency, methodologies and critical inquiry needed to navigate today's expanding visual culture.

Students have the freedom to experiment widely and reflect critically, immersing themselves in transdisciplinary methods and new ways of thinking and making. They'll draw on ideas from design, the humanities and the social sciences to create connections and interventions that enrich their work.

Students are encouraged to push beyond their comfort zone and experiment boldly with narrative, speculative and storytelling methods to develop innovative outcomes.

They'll also have opportunities to integrate emerging technologies to build digital confidence and creative direction – helping them form a resilient practice that adapts to shifting technologies and audiences.

Supported by Camberwell College of Arts' authority in illustration, students will be guided to become socially conscious, critically engaged and ethically grounded professionals with the ability to make confident and sustainable creative decisions.

With a fully online, part-time structure and a choice of award pathways (Master's, Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate), students can achieve their ambitions alongside their existing professional and personal commitments.
