An intense, immersive programme offering a challenging and engaging mix of design studio experience, site visits and expert guest talks.

This summer school is an ideal introduction to the studio teaching model at the RCA, aiming to push participants to expand their skills and support portfolio development, providing an informal platform for discussing art, architecture and their agency.

The 2024 summer school will be led by the architectural duo behind Lemonot – Sabrina Morreale and Lorenzo Perri, both tutors on the Architecture MA programme – and supported by RCA course tutors with a varied range of expertise.

Invited expert guests include Stefano Pujatti (Elasticospa) with Michela Falcone (BNU), Chat Architects, Elena Palacio Carral (Forms of Living), Dr Lidia Gasperoni (Philosopher and Architectural Theorist), Francesca Perani (RebelArchitette), Stefano dal Piva (ACME Architects) and more.

The summer school takes place in person at the RCA Kensington campus with visits to sites around London to enable participants to use the city as their testing ground.

Each year the course attracts a global mix of participants from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. Focused around design interventions and crossing disciplinary boundaries, students work individually and in groups, fostering new encounters and international collaboration.
