In 2023 Anglia Ruskin University has been named the Times Higher Education University of the Year, the biggest prize in UK higher education and has been rated Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework.

Our BA(Hons)/BSc(Hons) Architecture Part 1 Course is fully and unconditionally accredited by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Our curriculum originates from John Ruskin's legacy, who established the Cambridge School of Art in 1858.

Ruskin's mission was to reconnect people with nature through education and to eliminate the detrimental effect of human activity on nature. The challenges that Ruskin addressed have never been greater, nor more current.

Through cross-disciplinary creativity fostered by the integration of arts and crafts, we aim to transform our students to design for a world of healthy people and a healthy planet.

Thirty-two minutes away from London, we are located next to the natural reserve of the River Chelmer. 90 per cent of our graduates work in practice or study further for their MArch Part 2 within six months after graduation.

Our inclusive recruitment policy ensures a diverse cohort of regional and international students with rich qualities of background, skills, ethnicity, gender, age, commitment, passion and enthusiasm.
