Italian designer Matteo Thun has designed a new collection for Turkish bathroom brand VitrA.

Called Water Jewels, the collection explores materials other than the ceramics traditionally used for bathroom products, instead employing wood, marble, stone and glass.

The collection was launched at the ISH trade fair in Frankfurt last week, alongside Ross Lovegrove’s new VitrA MOD range for the brand.

OK, salad bowl wood basin is a fine idea…But when will the fad of raising a wash basin above a counter end? Am I the only one that thinks all basins should be undercounter-mounted for fast and easy clean-up. Function first!
