Dezeen promotion: looking for somewhere special to stay while in London this autumn? We've teamed up with The Jones (above), a new destination hotel in Bayswater, London, to offer Dezeen readers a free night when they join Concierge Club, a new arts club that offers exclusive access to cultural events across the capital.
The Jones, which opens this September, is perfectly located for visitors to London during the London Design Festival (13-23 September), London Fashion Week (14-19 September) and Frieze Art Fair (16-19 October).
A stone's throw from Hyde Park, it is a short walk from Paddington Station and is two direct tube stops from both Earls Court (where 100% Design is held) and Bond Street in the heart of the West End (see map above). Regent's Park, where Frieze is held, is just four tube stops or a short taxi ride away.
The Jones was built in 1906, and features opulent and idiosyncratic interiors, replete with wood panelling and painted ceilings, that have been fully restored (below). The rooms, meanwhile, have been completely refitted to provide high standards of comfort and contemporary style (above).
The highlight is a jewel-like Grade I listed theatre with gilded plasterwork and a domed ceiling (below).
This September and October, Dezeen is curating a unique and spectacular design exhibition and events programme at The Jones, which will turn the hotel into the vibrant heart of London's design scene. More details on the exhibition coming soon.
The hotel is now open for bookings from September onwards, and Dezeen readers who join the Concierge Club are entitled to a free night at The Jones, if they are among the first 1,000 people to apply for membership.
Membership of the Concierge Club costs £180 for the first 1,000 applicants, or £240 after that, and offers benefits including access to exclusive ‘closed door’ cultural events in the hotel, special invitations to private views and exhibitions, free entry to galleries and museums, and more.
