Vote for your favourite design in the Bombay Sapphire Designer Glass Competition

London Design Festival 09: Dezeen has teamed up with the Bombay Sapphire Designer Glass Competition to allow readers to vote for their favourite martini cocktail glass.

The glass with the most votes will win the ‘People’s Prize’, a beautiful Baccarat crystal trophy, and will be short-listed as one of the top four global finalists in the running for the £10,000 prize fund.

Everyone who votes will be entered for a draw to win a copy of ‘A Most Elegant Partnership’, a book by Bombay Sapphire that charts the evolution of the martini cocktail and its glass, and a bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin.

BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® ASKS YOU TO DECIDE

London Design Festival, 23-26 September 2009

London, UK / August 2009 – To celebrate design week in the cocktail capital of the world, Bombay Sapphire gin will be announcing the winner of its global search to find the ultimate martini cocktail glass and it wants you to help decide who is awarded the grand prize!

Thousands of emerging designers from around the world were briefed to create a martini cocktail glass, the most iconic design in the world of drinks. And now the finalists from each country will travel to the London Design Festival in September to compete in the Global Final
for their share of the £10,000 prize fund.

The Bombay Sapphire Designer Glass Competition is one of the top competitions in the world for up-and-coming designers and to help select the winner, Bombay Sapphire is asking you to vote for your favourite glass design at www.dezeen.com/designer-glass-competition.html.

By casting your vote you will go into the draw to win one of 10 prizes of the newly published book ‘A Most Elegant Partnership’ and a bottle of Bombay Sapphire. The book charts the evolution of the martini cocktail and its glass, and also contains a selection of Bombay Sapphire cocktails that you can re-create at home.

The designer with the most votes will be presented with the “People’s Prize” and his or her glass will be short listed as one of the four finalists in the running for the first prize.

All finalist glasses will be on display during design week at the Bombay Sapphire Blue Room, where you can admire the finalists’ designs while enjoying Bombay Sapphire inspired martini cocktails. The Bombay Sapphire Blue Room is the spiritual home for Bombay Sapphire, housing inspired martini glass designs by some of the most talked about international designers including Marcel Wanders, Tom Dixon and Karim Rashid.
