Presentations of top-brands in Munich Postpalast

On 20th May 2010 the 4th “Designer Werktag” takes place in Munich Postpalast. With the title “Anfasszination” (“anfassen” (=touch) + Faszination), the founder of the event, Glas Trösch invites architects, interior designers, designers and all those who are interested to discover creative solutions for the interior. After the great success of the last “Designer Werktag” in Frankfurt Cocoon Club the event organisers are expecting around 800 participants this year from Germany and around the world.

A total of 14 firms, as partners of the Designer Werkday, will be presenting their own design work at Designer Werktag. This includes Armstrong, Atelier Schneeweiss, Burkhard Leitner contstructiv with Heilmaier Messedesign, Création Baumann, ege, Girsberger, Kährs Parkett, Lista Office, Moroso, MWE, raumPROBE, VARIO and Vectorworks. Furthermore, visitors will also be expecting lectures from Bjarke Ingels from Copenhagen as well as Tristan Kobler from Holzer Kobler Architects. The Zurich-based architects have made itself a name internationally over the years through its conception of exhibitions and design of culture events. Therefore the Swiss also are responsible for the room concept in Postpalast. The idea is to transform the previous sorting-halls from the 20s into a “design temple“. In order for this, the 20 metre high light fittings and the windows will be similar to a sacral temple building, coloured and flooded inside with light from outside. The light falling onto the ground of the circular space gives a structure to the floor in different sized exhibition areas.

The event begins on the 20th May at 5.00 pm. A party with music and buffet will round the programme up at the end. Because of limited places it is requested that you register beforehand. The registration fee is 15 Euro.
