To finish off the year we’re going to showcase the five most popular Dezeen stories from each month in 2010. Number one in January was the Eco-friendly phone by Daizi Zheng, a conceptual mobile phone that could be powered by sugary drinks.

Second most popular was Axial Symphony, a renovation of an apartment in Shenzhen, China, by Design Systems, complete with undulating lawn.

Louvre Lens, an outpost of the Paris Musée du Louvre by Japanese architects SANAA came third.

In fourth place was this rectangular townhouse by Swedish architects Elding Oscarson, located in Landskrona, Sweden.

And at number five was this family house in St. John's Wood by London studio Hogarth Architects, featuring a façade with overlapping sheets of bronze and stone.
