This towel rail by Japanese designer Hiroomi Tahara comprises a rope wound around wall-mounted sticks.
The sticks can be positioned in any configuration and the rope slots into a little clip in the top of each one.
A weight on one end of the rope holds it under tension.
Tahara showed the prototype as part of the Salone Satellite at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan in April.

This is a wall-mounted towel hanger system.
It is configured by the sticks on the wall and a rope with a weight. The way to use is very simple. It can be fixed to roll a rope around the sticks. So it is possible to adjust the length by positioning of sticks. For this reason you can enjoy customize the composition freely to fit variable occasions as the bathroom and kitchen.
The weights have several form variations. The star formed weight also functions as a hook to put bathrobes and other objects. Fine rope can give light impression like a line drawing on the paper. And the use of materials and the structure are also another solution for creating light impression.
