The May Design Series – One Great City, Four Great Shows: Excel London, 19-21 May 2013

The May Design Series is a major new date in the trade event calendar, completing the international design circuit to bring the best and most exciting new products and ideas to London for solid, commercial business in 2013.

Organised by UBM BE (United Business Media Built Environment), four co-located design events will serve the London-based interior design, property, architectural and retail communities who buy and specify for projects around the globe.

DX explores how the pioneers of design and technology are shaping the interiors in which we live, work, and play. DX will host interactive exhibition space alongside new commissions, installations and an events programme, exploring beauty and intelligence at the forefront of design.

INTERIORS LDN features the best of contemporary British and international design for furniture and interiors, for the mid to high-end market.

kbb LDN showcases design innovation in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry and is the nucleus for the mid to high-end business community.

The ARC Show brings together the full spectrum of architectural, retail and commercial lighting disciplines to source the very best intelligent and creative lighting.

Uniquely, the May Design Series will be designed by Ab Rogers Design, commissioned to create a forward-thinking and reinvigorated exhibition environment – proof that design events can be designed! The London based design studio has previously applied lyrical imagination to a diverse range of projects, including spaces in the Tate Modern and the Science Museum.

The May Design Series will be the first time that London-based buyers will have the opportunity to make fully-informed buying decisions at the end of the European show season, and see new designs as soon as they are launched.

Exhibitors already confirmed for the 2013 event include some of the most important and influential brands of the design industry today including; Moooi, Hitch Mylius, TOTO, PP Mobler, ERCO, Philips Color Kinetics, Ecosense, Poggenpohl, Baumatic, Aran Kitchens, Salice, Abode, Caple, Trend, Ted Todd, Vorwerk, Viaduct, Deadgood, Timorous Beasties, Harlequin and Scavolini.

With London stepping up its game to compete with other European shows, the May Design Series will provide a truly customised offering to potential exhibitors around the UK and Europe. We have been working very hard to bring this portfolio to fruition and are very excited to move into an exciting 2013.”
