Interiors UK is the place to spot the design industry’s next big names

The New Design Britain awards are one of the most important competitions in the UK for young design talent, giving recognition to students for innovative and groundbreaking work and providing an opportunity for Interiors UK to encourage new young stars and look to the future of the furniture industry. Sixteen deserving finalists have been shortlisted, securing themselves a coveted place to showcase their unique and innovative products across four categories - furniture, accessories, surfaces and fabrics.

Industry recognised judges for the furniture and accessories categories are Rob Scarlett of Scarlett Design UK, Anthony Rayworth of the National Design Academy, Martin Rapko, designer at Willis & Gambier and Mark Hutchinson of Hutchinson Furniture. For the surfaces and fabrics categories, judges include esteemed journalist and author Barbara Chandler, Dids MacDonald CEO of ACID and Diane Goode of Fromental.

New Design Britain gives young designers crucial exposure help them secure placements with some of Britain’s leading design brands as well as exposing them to one of the greatest networks of buyers in the UK.
