Dezeen Music Project: I Hold by Sivu featuring Marika Hackman

UK singer-songwriter Sivu, aka James Page, seems to have spent most of 2013 on the verge hitting the big time and is surely set to explode in 2014. Working with in-demand producer Charlie Andrew, the man behind Alt-J's critically acclaimed debut album An Awesome Wave, should certainly help.

Sivu's latest EP, I Lost Myself, was released earlier this month, but he has made this track called I Hold - presumably an off-cut from the official release - available online as a free download.

It features Sivu's typically ethereal vocals, with a guest appearance from singer Marika Hackman, all accompanied by a melancholy blend of pianos, guitars and a dark underlying electronic bass.
