Watch our Dezeen x MINI Living talk about the future of Paris

Deputy mayor of Paris Jean-Louis Missika joined architects Edouard François, Chartier Dalix and Hamonic+Masson & Associés to discuss the future of the French capital in our latest Dezeen x MINI Living talk at Maison&Objet.

Following the relaxation of its 42-year skyscraper ban – put in place after negative reaction to Tour Montparnasse in the 1970s – a host of innovative new buildings have been proposed all over Paris as part of mayor Anne Hidalgo's bid to "build the Paris of tomorrow".

Missika and François joined Frédéric Chartier of Chartier Dalix and Jean-Christophe Masson of Hamonic+Masson & Associés as well as Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs and Oke Hauser of MINI for a panel discussion exploring how these new developments respond to the challenges facing urban living today and what they mean for the future of Paris.

Dezeen x MINI Living Initiative

The talk was part of Dezeen x MINI Living Initiative, which explores how architecture and design can contribute to a brighter urban future through a series of online videos and real world events.
