Introducing Dezeen Recruit, a new recruitment service for the architecture and design industry
Dezeen has launched Dezeen Recruit, a recruitment service that matches candidates to job vacancies in architecture, interiors and design.
The service is free for jobseekers, while employers pay around half the fees charged by traditional recruitment agencies.

Dezeen Recruit is an extension of Dezeen Jobs, our highly popular jobs board, which is the world's most visited architecture and design jobs site.
Positions advertised via Dezeen Recruit will be listed on Dezeen Jobs, ensuring maximum exposure to the best international candidates.
The difference is that when candidates apply for these positions, the applications will first be screened by the Dezeen Recruit team. Only hand-picked candidates will be forwarded for interview. This saves employers time and hassle and allows them to focus on running their businesses.
Like a recruitment agency. But cheaper
The idea for Dezeen Recruit came when we surveyed employers who advertise on Dezeen Jobs and asked them what frustrated them about the recruiting process.
The overwhelming complaint was over the high fees charged by recruitment agencies.
Agencies typically charge between 15 and 20 per cent of the first-year salary if they place a candidate with a firm.
Instead, Dezeen Recruit will charge just 10 per cent of the first-year salary when we successfully place a candidate at a firm (subject to terms and conditions).
Dezeen Jobs has over 35,000 registered candidates, meaning we already have a powerful database of jobseekers to rival many recruitment agencies.
"We've listened to what recruiters want," said Dezeen founder Marcus Fairs. "Recruiting is always going to be tough, but it shouldn't be so expensive."
Easy to use
Using Dezeen Recruit is easy. Simply visit www.dezeenrecruit.com and select whether you're an employer or a jobseeker.
Once they've filled out the form, we'll get in touch with employers to find out more about their requirements.
Jobseekers simply upload their details to our database of candidates. We'll notify them if a relevant position arises.
Jobseekers who already have an account with Dezeen Jobs can also sign up to be considered for positions advertised through Dezeen Recruit by updating the preferences in their account.
Note: Dezeen Recruit will initially work only with UK employers. We intend to expand internationally in the near future.
