Bao Collection poufs by Alda Ly Architecture for HBF

Dezeen Showroom: created by interiors firm Alda Ly Architecture for furniture brand HBF, the Bao Collection is a series of poufs designed to be versatile and playful.

Informed by "the beauty of geometry", the Bao Collection features poufs in six iterations – small and round, round and stacked, round and medium, a large half-round format, as well as a low- and high-backed version.

Some of the poufs can be stacked

The collection was designed to provide flexibility in offices where a pull-up seat is required for a desk-side meeting.

Users can choose from different handle options designed for easy transportation, while the handleless version can be stacked to save space in interior settings.

Stools can be upholstered in a range of fabrics

"The multiple meanings of the word 'bao' include expressions of preciousness and playfulness, and we designed a pouf that exudes both," said Alda Ly Architecture founder Alda Ly.

"The Bao Collection was conceived to bridge the gap between formal and informal and sedate and lively, and offers a seating solution like no other," added HBF.

The poufs are available in a variety of colourful upholstery that invite customisation, including performance-coated fabrics, full-grain leathers and bleach-cleanable woven textiles.
