Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has rejected a planning application for the Populous-designed spherical music venue MSG Sphere London.

The decision was made due to the "unacceptable" negative impact that the venue would have on residents in Stratford, London, where it was planned to be built.

Commenters celebrated the news, with many applauding Khan's decision. One remarked, "Good, the residents of Stratford have suffered enough," referring to the 2012 Olympic games, which were hosted in the area. Another added, "Good, that thing is an eyesore."
