Dezeen at IKEA Festival: lighting installation and Form Us With Love feature in Thursday afternoon highlights
We’re wrapping up day three of IKEA Festival with a highlights video from this afternoon’s events, including an LED installation that mimics natural daylight and Form Us With Love demonstrating how to assemble its new chair.
In our third day of video updates from the IKEA Festival at Milan design week, we spoke to Jonas Pettersson from Form Us With Love about the Swedish studio’s new Odger chair, which has been created from recycled wood and plastic. Pettersson gave us a demo on how to assemble it without screws.
Designer Felix Bodin explained the concept behind his installation created from smart LED panels, which form a canopy over part of the warehouse. The panels constantly change colour to imitate shifting daylight conditions. See the full programme at IKEA.today/festival.
The festival takes place from 4 to 9 April in a 3,500-square-metre warehouse at Via Ventura 14 in Milan. Dezeen will be broadcasting live reports from the festival, so stay tuned for more video highlights across Dezeen, as well as our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels.
