The third edition of the Design Biennale Zurich features a variety of experimental projects and creative statements centred around the theme Clash.

It showcases projects that clash in values, tradition or expectation, looking at contradictory materials, themes and creative processes that create innovative works.

The biennale aims to answer the following questions: Are analog and digital in opposition with each other? What creative potential do cultural differences and conflicts hold? What areas of tension arise between expectation and reality? At what point does the natural become artificial?

The biennale features an outdoor exhibition in which 12 open-call designers of various disciplines will contribute to a "carte blanche".

Design Biennale Zurich 2021 takes place from 12 August to 5 September 2021 at the Old Botanical Garden UZH, Zollikerstr. 107 8008 Zürich, Switzerland.
