Tinker Imagineers has designed and developed the FLUGT Refugee Museum of Denmark in Oksbøl, Denmark.

FLUGT is a significant project that gives voice to refugees worldwide by relating the local history of the camp in Oksbøl to the current refugee crisis.

FLUGT Refugee Museum of Denmark sits at the site of the country's largest refugee camp from World War II and gives voice to refugees worldwide.

The exhibitions relate the local history of the camp in Oksbøl to the current refugee crisis, where personal stories of refugees are brought to life with visual highlights, soundscapes, animations and original footage.

Outside, the huge former camp model indicates its scale. The forest area, where 35,000 German refugees used to live, is part of the museum experience.

There, an immersive audio walk offers visitors a realistic experience of what daily life in the camp was like.

This project has been longlisted in the exhibition design (interior) category of Dezeen Awards 2023.
