Ce-St Design Studio has developed the content for the Serrangel Pavilion in Foshan, China.

The Serrangel Pavilion is located in Golden Phoenix Park of Foshan, adjacent to the Desheng River.

Originally an abandoned public rest pavilion, this project has redefined community interaction, art and sustainability through the restoration, transformation and reuse of the space.

"The building draws inspiration from the traditional art of origami and cleverly contrasts solid and void architectural elements," said Ce-St Design Studio.

"The façade is made of recycled glass mosaics, symbolising the residents' appreciation for art and sustainable practices."

This project has been shortlisted in the cultural project category of Dezeen Awards China 2023.
