EVOLVE has redesigned the Yan Shan Art Museum in Jingdezhen, China.

The Yan Shan Art Museum is located in Taoxichuan Cultural and Creative Street, Jingdezhen.

"In order to better promote ceramic culture, we took advantage of the fact that porcelain glazes are not affected by sunlight," said EVOLVE. "We removed the wall facing the main street and replaced it with a glass curtain wall."

This project is an art gallery transformed from an old ceramics factory in the 1950s, where its functions include contemporary ceramic art exhibitions, ancient ceramics exhibitions, academic lectures, artist studios and art stores.

This project has been shortlisted in the heritage project category of Dezeen Awards China 2023.
