More Design Office has worked with the owner to design the interiors for Illumined Freedom: An Artistic Home in China.

"[We] understand the balance between form and detail in space," said More Design Office. "Drawing on practical forms from fashion design, the intermittent relationship between the curves and corners on the cardboard is integrated into the space."

By juxtaposing different elements such as materials, patterns, curves and geometric shapes, a space was created that seamlessly blends these different elements together.

Cleverly reflecting the owner's lifestyle and personality, it combines an art gallery, living space and a stylish boutique.

"The hostess of the house studied fashion design overseas and has unique taste in fabrics, patterns and colours," added More Design Office. "Therefore, a home should release its free character in the flow and subtly fill the lifestyle that the owner loves."

This project has been shortlisted in the home interior category of Dezeen Awards China 2023.
