Architecture for Fashion at YACademy
The Architecture for Fashion course at Yacademy is an intensive programme providing students with architectural knowledge collected from international industry professionals.
The Architecture for Fashion course at Yacademy trains students in interpreting brand identities. The course provides students with a deeper understanding of the needs of the fashion world and transferable skills in the entire luxury sector.
The design workshop is tutored by Giuseppe Zampieri, founder of David Chipperfield Architects studio in Milan. Students will collaboratively design a pop-up store for luxury brand Agnona, embodying its identity and values.
With a frequency of three days per week for two months, Architecture for Fashion hosts several frontal teaching modules with the participation of numerous well-known professionals from well-known companies, including Zaha Hadid Architects, MVRDV, Herzog & de Meuron, and SANAA.
Yacademy also offers its students the opportunity to participate in a construction workshop, gaining practical experience on construction sites, and the authorship of projects capable of defining a turning point in their professional careers.
At the end of the teaching modules and workshops, Yacademy's placement office will guarantee every student an internship or collaboration proposal in one of its partner studios.
The course offers three scholarships with full coverage of the enrolment cost for the most deserving students. It is also possible to participate in the courses remotely.

What will I learn during this course?
Students will delve into the technical and compositional issues of fashion design. They'll gain transferable skills across design and a deep understanding of luxury fashion.
What are the requirements?
– Students should have a B1 level in English
– Students should be graduates in architecture, landscape architecture, design, or heritage-related studies.
– The Selection Committee can admit applicants who hold a different certificate from those mentioned above after examining their CV, portfolio and motivational letter. Interviews are also possible

– An architecture library of more than 5,000 volumes
– Numerous apartments in the same building that houses the institute's classrooms. The accommodation service is to be considered outside of the fees for attendance to the courses and it is activated upon request of the students

Trained in understanding the needs of the fashion and luxury world, students can gain diverse roles in the luxury fashion sector. The collaborative project with one of Yacademy's partner firms enables students to gain first-hand experience in the industry.
