Dezeen Agenda features an interview with classical architect Robert Adam on the White House extension
The latest edition of our weekly Dezeen Agenda newsletter features an interview with British architect Robert Adam on Donald Trump’s White House ballroom plans. Subscribe to Dezeen Agenda now.
Following US president Donald Trump‘s commission of a neoclassical ballroom for the White House, leading classical architect Adam shared his perspective.
Adam believes that the proposed design was informed by Gilded Age classicism and the work of American classical architecture studio McKim, Mead and White.

This week’s newsletter also featured a handheld device designed to provide comfort after pregnancy loss, an arts and crafts-style brick extension in Melbourne and a feature on if architecture’s class of ’25 will crack the job market.
