Torisawa by the Sea

Atelier XY has designed the restaurant interiors of Torisawa by the Sea in Qinhuangdao, China.

In the design of the Torisawa project, Atelier XY perfectly combines modern architectural language with traditional Japanese elements and further represents the 'Jing Hua Shui Yue' concept.

"As it has an endless coastline view, the restaurant's circulation and layout are based on 'being able to see the sea' as an important consideration," said Atelier XY.

As a result, the booth and yakitori areas are raised as a whole to increase the level of the interior space.

"In order to make every table of guests could see the sea view, [we wanted to] ensure the level of the restaurant design," added Atelier XY.

This project has been shortlisted in the restaurant interior category of Dezeen Awards China 2025.
