Healing Pets
Informal Design has designed the interiors of Healing Pets, a lifestyle space for urban humans and pets in Hangzhou, China.
This project is situated within West Lane Cultural and Creative Park, formerly a toy factory, nestled in an old industrial neighbourhood in the Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou.
Through conceiving a comprehensive brand design solution for the client, Healing Pets, Informal Design aimed to create a destination for pet lovers, fostering a warm human-pet community that counteracts the alienation often felt in urban life.
"The goal was to cultivate a new lifestyle for urban residents and their pets, promoting mutual growth among individuals, dogs and the bond between humans and their pets," said Informal Design.
The entire space wall retail system and movable furniture system are constructed by using colour-matching ocean panels to create a warm space atmosphere, which complements the original wooden roof.
The clever selection of these materials and the natural weathering of the texture over time further enhance the architectural texture.
This project has been shortlisted in the bar and cafe interior category of Dezeen Awards China 2025.
