BIM Fundamentals and Revit Training at Oxford Brookes University School of Architecture
The BIM Fundamentals and Revit Training course at Oxford Brookes University equips students with Building Information Modelling (BIM) skills ahead of pursuing a career in construction.
As BIM continues to establish itself as an integral method in the construction industry, its use is expected to become even more widespread in the near future. However, there remains a significant skills gap in both conceptual understanding and practical implementation of BIM processes among professionals.
This course is designed to bridge that gap by providing comprehensive knowledge of the BIM concept and its application in professional practice.
Although the course is primarily Revit-focused, it begins with a week dedicated to explaining the concept of BIM and its processes, before moving on to the three-week Revit training tailored for architects. This structure helps participants better understand how Revit supports and fits into the broader BIM framework.
The training will offer hands-on experience in creating building information models using Autodesk Revit.
The primary objective of the course is to equip architects with both theoretical and practical knowledge of BIM. By the end of the course, participants will not only be able to use Revit proficiently but also understand the purpose and value of their models within the broader BIM lifecycle.
Participants who complete the course will receive a Certificate of Participation from Oxford Brookes University.
