Mancave
Zinc Studio has designed the interiors of Mancave, a private wine cellar retreat in Cheung Sha Wan, Hong Kong.
Mancave is a private retreat for three lifelong friends who returned to their hometown after many years abroad. The space is designed to reflect their strong bond, love for vintage wine and desire to spend quality time with family.
Set in an old industrial unit without natural light, the design uses a variety of lighting – hanging lamps, rail lights and a custom arch-shaped glowing screen – to create a warm and welcoming space.
Wine plays a key role in the design: A special corner was created with wine and beer fridges, charcoal-toned cabinets and oak wood finishes.
The materials are strong and timeless: polished concrete, black cast iron and marble.
"Every detail is made to support gatherings, games and quiet moments alike," said Zinc Studio. "It's a space where friends can relax, reconnect and enjoy life's simple pleasures."
This project has been shortlisted in the leisure and wellbeing interior category of Dezeen Awards China 2025.
