The Master in Fashion Design course at Domus Academy equips students with the skills needed to create sustainable garments in addition to learning about business and branding.
The Master in Fashion Design programme combines fashion studies and design thinking with extensive practice.
Through interdisciplinary exploration, students will produce outcomes that integrate conceptualisation, textile manipulation, garment prototyping, sustainability, branding, visual storytelling and business intelligence.
Students will understand the complexity of the fashion system and gain awareness of the various professions throughout its value chain, recognising that fashion's value lies not in surface aesthetics but in function, wearability, inclusivity and adaptability to contemporary needs.

What will I learn during this course?
– Develop personal style through cross-disciplinary approaches to business and creativity, grounded in fashion design theory and informed by fashion history and current scenarios
– Create innovative designs with a personal vision, working with fashion designers and labels to develop and promote collections that adapt to changing multicultural environments, technologies and consumer needs
– Critical thinking about the fashion industry's societal and environmental impacts, enabling students to develop ethical and sustainable solutions for the future of fashion
What are the requirements?
– Applicants should hold a first-level academic degree (Bachelor's Degree or Academic Diploma) in a field related to the chosen study programme
– An English language certificate (IELTS Academic or General, minimum 5.0)
– For the Dual Award, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree not lower than a 2:2 (British undergraduate classification) in a relevant field. Those with a lower classification may still apply if they have at least one year of relevant work experience. An English language certificate is also required (IELTS overall 5.5, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component).
